On Cannon Square, Retford Hub (NNATIC) is
permanent host to over 140 local artists and
artisans and has resident artists Cath Ray,
Christine Howard, Rachel Scott, Freya Black &
Iona Birch.
The gallery is host to a superb exhibition by
Susan Isaac which runs for 6 weeks. The Hub also
has exhibitions with significant bodies of work
from art group Brushstrokes from Misterton,
Retford Life Drawing Class and the Hub’s own
Thurday Art Group and Simon Gaddes photography
group. All art and craft is for sale. Activities
in the gallery.

Society together with Richard Sampson –
Pyrography, Virginia Hawk and Denise Owen.
Virginia is a community arts tutor working in
Egypt and London. She will be leading the paper
craft workshop on Sun. |

Our main Parish Church, please go through the
main body of the Church to the Lady chapel where
there is work from John Nooth, Christopher
Smith-Clayton, Kay Nooth, Helen Lems, Arthur
Begg, Chris & Edward Daniels. Book Fair. This is
also a venue for talks. Amina Khan-Sly will
exhibit on Monday 29th.

Opposite the entrance to St Swithun’s, the venue
will be again be host to Elda Bowie. Elda is a
remarkable person and her personal voyage is
encapsulated through her work. Her studies of
pebbles and leaves are fascinating. |

Onto the main centre of Retford and across the
main Square to Spencer’s, historic auctioneers
premises. Andy Massey will again be exhibiting
his latest works together with Michelle Stainton. |

you will find work from the North Notts Creative
Textiles group and an exhibition from Village
Art, the art group based in Treswell.
The exhibition of textiles showcases a wide
variety of modern ways of working with textile
and stitch creating original textural artworks.
There is also a children’s activity.
Beside the canal, weather permitting, you’ll
find Denise Harrington painting ‘en plein air’.
Many will know her from her exquisite pictures
of horses, so this is a rare treat. |
